The Palomar Group is pleased to announce the successful sale of Lake Murray Center, a 39,218-square-foot Planet Fitness–anchored retail center located at 760 US-378 W in Lexington, South Carolina. The property was sold by a publicly traded REIT to a regional investor.
The center is 100% occupied and anchored by Planet Fitness, which recently signed a new 10-year lease with a multi-unit operator. Small-shop rents remain below market, offering long-term value and upside potential. Located in a trade area projected to experience 9% population growth over the next five years, Lake Murray Center benefits from strong demographics and sustained retail demand.
“This was the fourth shopping center Palomar Group has sold in the Columbia, SC market in 2025. We have seen robust interest from buyers in the Columbia MSA this year,” said Steve Collins, Partner at The Palomar Group.
Palomar Group represented the seller in the transaction, while Providence Group represented the buyer.
