Lee Malchow

Lee Malchow joined The Palomar Group in 2018 and has since been involved in over $500 million worth of real estate deals. He focuses on helping clients buy and sell multifamily and retail properties across the Southeast, but he’s also worked on transactions in the Northeast and Midwest. Lee enjoys helping clients navigate the full process, whether it’s working through a 1031 exchange, evaluating value-add opportunities, or figuring out the right pricing strategy.

Before Palomar, Lee spent several years at Georgia-Pacific, where he worked on industrial and office leases, property sales, and buy-versus-lease decisions. He also handled accounts receivable for high-risk clients in the credit group. He got his start in commercial lending at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, supporting the asset-based lending team as both a portfolio and business development analyst.

Lee graduated from Wake Forest University, where he played linebacker and special teams for the Demon Deacons. He later earned his MBA from the University of Georgia. He and his wife Kristin live in Augusta with their two sons, Michael and James. They’re active members of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, and Lee stays involved in the community through the Augusta Exchange Club and as a board member at Apparo Academy.
